Stephen Curry Mind-boggling Achievements

American Basketball has unearthed some great sportsmen over the history. The likes of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen and Kobe Bryant top the list in NBA VIPs. These players became the reason for such a vast following of basketball in USA particularly, and the success of NBA. There have been great players in every generation. The current lot is lucky enough to witness Stephen Curry, who has a record that none of the previously mentioned stars had. He has the record for most 3-pointers in NBA history to his name.

Son of veteran player Dell Curry, Steph was born in Akron, Ohio in 1988. 6 ft tall basketball sensation started his professional career from Davidson College. He was a phenomenal three-point shooter since his early days. In 2009, he was drafted by Golden State Warriors in the National Basketball Association (NBA) championship. Since then, Steph never looked back.

Stephen Curry averaged 17.5 in his first ever season with the Warriors. After that, he suffered an ankle injury and had to go through ligament surgery. He came back stronger in 2012-13 season, scoring three-pointers for fun. He scored 272 three-pointers that season, and 261 the next. The 2014-2015 season was a breakthrough for Stephen Curry, as he made the then record of most three-pointers in a single NBA season (286). Moreover, he led Warriors to their NBA best 67-15 record, and was named the MVP of the tournament. Curry got his first NBA title that season.

Since then, Curry never looked back. The 2015-2016 season was the best for him in many ways. He broke his own record for most three-pointers that season (402). He was ahead of everyone participating in the league, with an average of 30.1 points per game. The superstar was voted unanimously to become MVP again. No player before Steph had been voted unanimously.  Unfortunately, Warriors bottled the finals against Cavaliers, depriving Curry of his second title. However, Curry achieved this feat in 2016-17 season, against the same opposition; revenge best served cold. The 2017-18 season came with an injury again, but the grit and determination brought him back in the second round, leading his team to third NBA title. In 2020-21 season, Curry won his second NBA scoring title.
